Stillhouse Junkies

Stillhouse Junkies are acoustic adventurers forging a path all their own through the landscapes of roots, bluegrass, Texas swing, blues, and rock. With electrifying energy, tight vocal harmonies, and jaw-dropping instrumental chops, this trio brings a spontaneous, genre-bending sound that turns every show into a one-of-a-kind musical experience.

Based in Durango, Colorado, Stillhouse Junkies are: Fred Kosak – guitar & mandolin, Alissa Wolf – fiddle, and Matt Thomas – upright bass.

Their free-flowing musical interplay and fearless improvisation mean no two performances are ever alike. Every night is an adventurous ride through high-energy, intricately crafted originals, making room for joyful detours, soulful breakdowns, and soaring solos.

Formed in 2017, the band has earned national attention with performances at MerleFest, RockyGrass, Grey Fox, and ROMP, and received the IBMA Momentum Band of the Year Award in 2021. They’ve shared stages with Willie Carlisle, The 'Lil Smokies, and Asleep at the Wheel, and are quickly rising through the ranks of the modern acoustic music scene. Their fourth album is due out in early 2025, and they will definitely be playing some songs from it on our stage!
